Grams of CO₂ per kWh of electricity used, based on the grid that powers each model's data center. Lower is better. Figures are annual estimates from provider sustainability reports, not live measurements.
Data centers consume water for cooling. We rate Low / Medium / High from regional water-stress data and provider disclosures. Arid regions and evaporative cooling drive higher usage.
The share of each data center's electricity from renewable or carbon-free sources, as reported by the provider. Higher is better. Percentages are provider-reported annual averages and may include offsets.
All figures are estimates. ATHENA does not have direct measurement access to provider infrastructure. See methodology for sources.
